​LASS CHANCE CIDERY

Situated on the western boundary of Canada's Sonoran Desert, Keremeos is considered "Orchard Valley". The Lasser family has been growing in the hot summers and cool nights of the Similkameen Valley since 1988, producing some amazing fruit. Members of the family have been experimenting with cider making for over 40 years; their perfectionism and meticulous methods has allowed them to create a cider that their family and friends would love. 

In 2023, the family decided to elevate their Orchard experience to create a storefront for their Ciders, a space they envisioned created a multi-sensory journey in cidery making and aesthetic appeal. Our team at Gibson Custom Homes worked together with Begrand Fast Designs and the Lasser family to build a structure designed for cidery production and storage. The building naturally blends into the site’s beautiful surroundings in a way that minimizes the impact to the environment.

The material finishes of the home were designed by Begrand Fast Design, and both the interior and exterior are designed to have a modern yet zen feel. Stylistically the clients wanted to bring in the wood tones and greenery from the Orchard, while incorporating modern design elements that they love. This theme carries to the exterior most notably with the building’s wood siding contrasted with smooth composite iron grey paneling and black metal roofing.

In addition to the natural elements, the interior design style utilizes green, peach and blue colour tones throughout to construct the perfect space to immerse yourself in beautiful orchard views, creating the ultimate setting for relaxation and entertainment.
